Channeling Charcoal
We spent this past Spring and Summer in bright colors and prints…but now…now I get to don those outfits with dark gray and black without getting scolding stares. I love the simplicity of a sweater and jeans. It's so easy but looks so well put together. This charcoal colored sweater from Forever 21 plays the role of an ultimate knit sweater impeccably well.
Very often in the Fall, we want to wear booties with our sweaters, and while I am always SO down for that, I love a good Autumn flat or loafer or, yes you heard it again, a mule. ASOS continues to come through with wide fit shoes in an array of styles and words cannot express how helpful it is for someone like me. I can get away with some shoes here and there, but when it comes to very structured pointy shoes, if they aren't wide, I'm fooling myself if I think they'll be comfy. These ASOS MONA (I totally freaked out when I saw a product with my name on it that fit my style perfect like a shout out to God, honestly) are the epitome of what a comfy pointed mule should look and feel like. If my feet could talk they would be thanking me.
Sure, you can wear dark denim or black denim with your sweaters, but I love a good rugged-not-so-put-together look so these distressed jeans were perfect. These are Old Navy’s Rockstar jeans, are a staple of mine. Amazing fit and the perfect length for me. I do want to say I patched up some of the rips if you’re wondering why they look different than the site (let me know if you want a post on that!).
