Suede Utility Jacket And Pointed Loafers
I’ve got a funny story for y’all. You see this jacket that I am wearing in this look? Well, I originally ordered it on the first week of December from Boohoo.com, a website that I love to shop from. Unfortunately it got stuck in customs and did not get here till the third week of January. Boohoo was kind enough to provide a full refund of the items and gift them to me for free- TYSM, Boohoo. It took such a long time for this jacket it to get to me and I feel like I’ve been in a long distance relationship and am finally seeing it after so long- LOL. Safe to say I was super eager to wear it. The Smiling Sweetheart is coining a new phrase in this post and it is inspired by my mom. It’s called The Great Foundation: representing the ultimate, easy-going, and all-black canvas for any look.
Regardless of what anyone tells you, there are absolutely different shades of black. I used to HATE mixing them. I have grown to actually really like mixing different shades of black. I’ve blogged about these jeans before. They’re my fave black jeans/pants from ASOS. As these washed out I liked the edginess that they brought and decided they’d be the perfect type of jeans to fray. I love frayed denim with loafers, mules, or slip ons. These loafers are one of my fave shoes in my closet. I’ve had them for 3 years and don’t plan on giving them up anytime soon. The bag in this look was originally just a clutch with a super small chain to hold with your hand. I wanted to clutch to be more wearable for day to day looks so I took a trip to Michael's and bought a dark metal chain and with a little tweaking here and there I added it onto the chain on the bag and made it a crossbody. I loved the color coordination of the crossbody and the jacket.
LOLing real hard here because this shot reminds me of the Arthur meme.
